"I can't stop coughing, my shoes are all muddy, I'm cold, I'm wet, I ache, and I flunked a test because of stupid mistakes," were the first words my mom heard when I got in the car today. Have you ever had one of those days? You just want to curl up under a rock and sleep til' its all gone. Not to mention I had just ran about a mile with a sore throat, struggling for air the whole time. I have the flu, and I'm running a fever. Whoop-de-doo.
Why must life test us in ways we can't seem to imagine? I found myself asking,"why me?", why today?". I feel sometimes we just need to let go and laugh about things. Life throws curve balls, and we need to learn how to swing. These were words of wisdom I learned from my grandma, TT.
Love Always, Mouse :)

Aww sweetness, I know just how bad you feel. Just remember it is just 1 test, 1 grade, and 1 day. You've had a lot of curve balls in the last few months. I know losing Cubby Caboodle was rough and I know losing Grandma was rough and you've handled it so well. Just remember you are a brilliant young woman and you have a very bright future. You are knocking the curve balls outta the park! Shoulda known you were my child when you use a sports analogy!!

Wow, you are having a really rough day. I have also had those days. The best advice I can give you is crawl in bed, take some meds for the sickness and sleep. Life, almost always looks better in the morning.
ReplyDeleteYou are a strong one, which is why you are doing so well in the face of adversity. Don't be sad about the test, in the grand scheme of things one test will not matter. If it really bothers you, when you feel better talk to your teacher about extra credit.
Feel Better Soon!
Get some rest, then continue to swing at those curve balls. Mighty mouse to the rescue!!!
