Boy has it been forever. I just want to start off by saying hope you had a great Christmas and New Year. I enjoyed the time off, as I'm sure you all did. Being back in school has turned life hectic again, so thank God it's the weekend.
Yesterday, I realized how lucky I really am. A choir group called the Watoto group performed at my aunts church. After the performance, each church family takes a few kids home and gives them a place to sleep overnight. She and her husband had 2 kids and an older man (btw, this group is made up of African orphans). Once they got settled in my dad drove my brother and I over to visit with them for a few minutes. They were really nice people. It surprised me how thankful they were just to have someone talk to them. What really shocked me was the fact that, even without families, they were thankful for everything they had. Not once did they complain about having to be on the road for 25 weeks straight. It made me realize how much I actually have, and still I complain. Yesterday, I had a changing experience. Go visit with the kids of the Watoto group, and you too, will have this miracle happen to you.
