thoughts

Hey and welcome back. Just another Monday at the mouse's house. Why do we need Mondays? To get us to Tuesdays? Why are Tuesdays so important? Ugh, why can't it just be Friday? Anyways, what are your thoughts on women's abortion rights? Why do we criticize their decisions if it doesn't even affect us? We should let them choose what they think is best for the child, whether it may be to have the child, or get an abortion. This just doesn't make sense to me. I can see, however, where people see differently. They think about what is best for the child. I just think we should leave them alone and let it be their decision. Yes, adoption is a great way to turn to, but is it the answer? women can't be comforted by the thought of having the baby adopted right away. what are your thoughts?

Love Always, Mouse :)

  1. I like Mondays, they always feel like a fresh start. You ask several good questions, ones that we should all really evaluate. What are my thoughts on abortion rights? Well, it is a women's choice, only she truly knows what is right for her and her fetus. The reason that there is so much debate is that no one has a concrete answer to the question, "When does life begin?" For some it begins at conception, others at birth, at the point the baby can live outside the mom, at ovulation, at the end of the first trimester or the second or the third. Until you can answer that question, the debate will rage. I am pro-choice. I don't believe in abortion for me, but I can only speak for me.

I really studied the prolife stance before I made my choice. One, I found that they don't even agree on that one essential question. Also, they are willing to make allowances of rape, incest, and life of the mother. I don't see this point of view as consistent. If life and potential life is so precious, then why are there exceptions? If life is so precious, then why would you deny a woman birth control, when it is the only way she can get pregnant?

How can someone who does not know me, does not know my story, does not have to walk in my shoes, and does not have their life on the line make life or death decision for me? How can I make that decision for someone else? We can't, that is why that choice must be left the people in the best position to make the decision, the parents of the fetus.
