I'm having a little bit of a confusion with one of my best friends. Our school has exemptions for semester exams, where a student with passing grades and little absences can exempt either 1 or 2 semester exams. I, being the good student I am ;), got 2 exemptions. I used 1 on language arts, and the other on Texas history. Well, while the other students were testing, a few people and I were sent to the library with our exemption sheets. When we return and the test is over, I find out that my friend was caught cheating. Her consequences are a 0 on the test, her parents will be notified, and the principal was notified. Now they are threatening to take her off of the pre-AP program. The consequences are not what is getting to me, it's the fact that she would do that. It is a really bad influence on the rest of us, not to mention I am stunned that she would do such a thing! I shouldn't expect that from an all-A student, should I?!?!!! She told me jokingly that she was just going to "stick it in her shirt". I never thought that she would do such a thing!I don't know, I'm just not sure anymore. Any thoughts?

Yeah....your friend is ummmm rather ummmm unintelligent....it saddens me that her parents did absolutely nothing to punish her. Don't think you would be getting away with that nonsense at our house young lady. Try setting a good example for her and if you know she's heading down this type of path again - be a good friend and try to steer her in the right direction. The right thing isn't always the easy thing but it is the best thing none the less.
